What's included in a Desert Cat G19 complete slide?
Each complete slide ships with all internal parts, barrel, recoil spring assembly, polymer sights, and RMR cover plate installed. It is ready to drop onto a G19 Gen 1-3 frame with no additional parts or assembly required. If you'd prefer to source your own components, see our G19 stripped slide option or parts kits.
What optic cut does the complete slide use?
All Desert Cat G19 Gen 1-3 complete slides use the RMR footprint, factory-milled directly into the slide. Compatible optics: Trijicon RMR (Type 1 and Type 2), Trijicon SRO, Trijicon RCR, Holosun 407C / 507C / 507C X2, Holosun 508T / 508T X2, and Swampfox Liberty II. No adapter plate required. Note: this is the full-size RMR footprint used on G19/G17/G26 slides — it is not the same as the RMSC/407K footprint used on G43/43X slides.
Do I need a gunsmith to install this?
No. This is a user-installable drop-in assembly. Field-strip your G19 as you normally would, remove the OEM slide, and drop the Desert Cat complete slide onto the frame rails. Confirm function with an empty magazine before loading. No tools or modifications to your frame are required.
Is this compatible with Gen 4 or Gen 5 frames?
No. Desert Cat G19 complete slides are machined to Gen 1-3 frame specifications. The Glock 19 Gen 4 and Gen 5 use a different internal frame rail geometry — these slides will not properly seat on Gen 4 or Gen 5 frames. These slides fit OEM Glock 19 Gen 1, Gen 2, and Gen 3 frames, and aftermarket frames built to Gen 1-3 specifications.
What barrel is included in the complete slide?
Each complete slide ships with a Desert Cat match-grade 9mm stainless steel barrel — 3.91" flush cut, machined in Arizona and tested for fit and lockup before shipment. The slide also accepts OEM Glock 19 Gen 1-3 barrels if you prefer to swap later. Desert Cat G19 Gen 1-3 barrels are also available separately.
Can I run a suppressor or threaded barrel with this slide?
The complete slide ships with a flush-cut standard barrel. If you want to run a threaded barrel for a suppressor or muzzle device, you can swap the included barrel for a G19 Gen 1-3 threaded aftermarket barrel after purchase — no modification to the slide required. Desert Cat will offer threaded barrel options as the product line expands.
