What's included in a Desert Cat G43/43X complete slide?

Each complete slide ships with all internal parts, barrel, recoil spring assembly, polymer sights, and RMSC cover plate installed. It is ready to drop onto a G43/43X frame with no additional parts or assembly required. If you'd prefer to source your own components, see our stripped slide option.

What optic cut does the complete slide use?

All Desert Cat G43/43X complete slides use the RMSC/407K footprint, factory-milled directly into the slide. Compatible optics: Holosun 407K, Holosun 507K, Holosun EPS Carry, and Shield RMSc. No adapter plate required. This footprint is not compatible with the Trijicon RMR, Holosun 507C, or other full-size optics — those use the larger RMR footprint found on G17/G19/G26 slides.

Do I need a gunsmith to install this?

No. This is a user-installable drop-in assembly. Field-strip your G43/43X as you normally would, remove the OEM slide, and drop the Desert Cat complete slide onto the frame rails. Confirm function with an empty magazine before loading. No tools or modifications to your frame are required.

Will this fit my Glock 43X?

Yes. The G43X uses the same slide profile as the G43. Desert Cat complete slides for the G43/43X fit both models. They are not compatible with the Glock 48, which uses a longer slide (4.17" barrel length vs. the G43/43X's 3.41").

What barrel is included in the complete slide?

Each complete slide ships with a Desert Cat match-grade 9mm barrel, flush-cut at 3.31 inches — machined in the USA and tested for fit and lockup before shipment. The slide also accepts OEM Glock 43/43X barrels if you prefer to swap later. Desert Cat G43/43X barrels are available separately in multiple finishes.

Can I run a suppressor or threaded barrel with this slide?

The complete slide ships with a standard-length G43/43X barrel. If you want to run a threaded barrel for a suppressor or muzzle device, you can swap the included barrel for a G43/43X threaded aftermarket barrel after purchase — no modification to the slide required. Desert Cat will offer threaded barrel options as the product line expands.
